Job summary

Argus West Investigative Services in San Diego is seeking a detail-oriented legal support professional to assist our SIU lien resolution and operational team. The role focuses on SIU objections, claim analysis, and defenses to defeat liens from suspect or fraudulent providers in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have Workers' Compensation claims experience, paralegal background, and strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review lien analysis prepared by internal administrative team.
• Communicate with providers who filed liens through EAMS.
• Conduct EAMS searches.
• Apply SIU-based arguments to support good faith offers.
• Communicate with DA and substitute SIU attorneys when applicable.
• Provide DA with documentation to support SIU-based positions.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to support our SIU lien resolution and operational team. This role is not your typical lien resolution to settle and close claim files. Our lien resolution team utilizes detailed SIU based objections and arguments, claim analysis and various SIU defenses to defeat liens from suspect, abusive and or fraudulent providers. The ideal candidate has workers compensation claims experience, understands the lien process with the WCAB, works well to support defense council, highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal and/or claims environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review lien analysis prepared by internal administrative team
• Communicate with providers who have filed liens through EAMS
• Conduct EAMS searches
• Apply appropriate SIU based arguments to support good faith offer
• Communicate with DA on file, sub out attorney's when applicable to replace with SIU team attorney's
• Provide DA with documentation to support SIU based positions
