Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a workplace investigations professional to conduct unbiased investigations into employee relations, ethics, policy compliance, and guest concerns at our Knoxville-area operations.

You will interview stakeholders, review evidence, prepare concise reports, and collaborate with Legal and HR to determine corrective actions while maintaining confidential records and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in HR, business, criminal justice, or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in investigations or HR-related fields preferred.
• Experience interviewing and documenting investigative findings preferred.
• Strong written communication for reports and summaries.
• This position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations involving employee relations concerns, policy violations, ethics issues, and guest complaints.
• Interview complainants, subjects, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather facts and evidence.
• Review documentation, electronic records, surveillance, reports, and other relevant evidence as part of investigative activities.
• Assess information objectively, identify findings, and determine appropriate conclusions based on available evidence.
• Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive investigative reports that summarize facts, findings, and recommendations.
• Partner with Legal, Human Resources, and operational leaders regarding investigation outcomes and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential investigative records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Assist with responding to documentation requests related to employee relations matters, EEOC charges, DOL inquiries, litigation matters, and other legal requests.
• Ensure investigations are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting workplace investigations and employee relations practices.
• Provide guidance to leaders regarding policy interpretation and appropriate workplace conduct.
• Model behaviors that support the company's values and commitment to integrity, respect, and accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
