Job summary

The City of Charlotte is seeking an Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator support role within the Transportation Department. You will assist with daily inventory control, receipt and distribution of materials, and maintaining accurate records across Cityworks, Workday, and Kronos.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, restocking items such as traffic signals components, and ensuring safe, organized warehouse operations while upholding city policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
• Warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of computer systems used for work management and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator with daily activities and job functions.
• Support receipt, distribution, and inventory control of materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and tools.
• Record materials, parts, tools, and equipment issued to staff and contractors in Cityworks/Workday.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate when inventory reaches critical levels to avoid shortages.
