Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a hands-on Inventory Technician to manage and maintain accurate steel warehouse inventory on the Fort Worth site. The role focuses on cycle counting, data-system integrity, and on-floor handling of materials.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with both physical inventory and ERP/WMS systems, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift.

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory control or steel/metal industry preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Proficient with Excel or similar spreadsheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently on warehouse floor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts daily, weekly, and monthly for steel inventory items.
  • Develop and maintain cycle count schedules and inventory control processes.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies including root cause analysis.
  • Locate, count, measure, and verify materials in yard and warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to access inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and internal systems.
  • Track and report inventory metrics, variances, and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, shipping/receiving, and operations teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials.
  • Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives in inventory control.
