Aston Carter is seeking an Inventory Specialist in Smyrna, TN to support inventory accuracy and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, maintain ERP records, and assist with production planning.

The role emphasizes organization, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. The position is on-site in Smyrna with a focus on continuous improvement and efficient material flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in inventory control or related field.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills; able to learn ERP and inventory management systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies through system research.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and inventory systems.
• Support production planning by managing work orders and scheduling activities.
• Audit BOMs, inventory locations, and backflush transactions for accuracy.
• Manage end-of-life inventory and record maintenance.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, procurement, and supply chain teams.
• Communicate inventory concerns and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Assist with receiving, shipping, and material handling as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory accuracy.
