Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an Inventory Clerk in Murfreesboro, TN for a contract role focused on cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and production support. You will conduct counts, reconcile variances, and maintain ERP records in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include supporting work orders, BOM audits, and material handling while collaborating with warehouse, procurement, and production teams to ensure inventory availability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Reconcile inventory variances and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems.
• Support production planning: work orders, scheduling, releases.
• Audit bills of materials, inventory locations, and backflush transactions.
• Manage end-of-life inventory, disposition and adjustments.
• Troubleshoot inventory and material flow issues, identifying root causes.
• Partner with warehouse, production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure inventory availability and operational efficiency.
• Communicate inventory concerns, discrepancies, and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Assist with receiving, shipping, and material handling as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and process efficiency.
