Inventory Specialist

With over 125 years in furniture manufacturing, and more than 90 years as a furniture retailer, Stickley is the proud employer of nearly 600 talented individuals. We have three manufacturing facilities, multiple corporate-owned retail showrooms, and a global distribution network. We have an opening for an Inventory Specialist at our Manlius, NY facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Verifies product accuracy when receiving product
• Assigns product to appropriate location for storage and retrieval
• Ensures product accuracy when picking/relocating items from storage/racking and scans product into inventory/bin location
• Assists with order picking and working at various heights
• Accurately researches inventory discrepancies
• Ensures that storage space is used efficiently
• Responsible for the safe operation of lift trucks and maintaining a safe work environment at all times
• Uses computer generated pick list to pull and stage product for loading based on truck stop sequence and scans the product into the staging area out of inventory
• Ensures scanning properly identify the product being moved into inventory and staging.
• Responsible for working independently and as a team member
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measure, utilize measuring tools such as tape measures and other measuring devices to sufficiently handle job tasks

Physical Job Requirements:

• Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions
• Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break
• Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Perform work at varying heights while operating lift equipment and wearing safety equipment
