Job summary

Team Modern, a family-owned wholesale distributor, is seeking an Inventory Specialist for our Warehouse Team. You’ll conduct cycle counts, set up items, slotting, process returns, and resolve discrepancies to keep inventory accurate and accessible for cross-functional teams.

Work is Monday–Friday, 1st shift, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM with overtime as needed. You’ll operate RF scanning units and Excel, in ambient to frozen zones, with PPE provided. We value accuracy, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Inventory control experience required.
  • Basic Excel skills required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts using a computer database via RF scanning unit.
  • Set up new items and reconfigure warehouse racking.
  • Process returns and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Record and update all item and location master fields.
  • Slot and re-slot products according to internal strategy and sizing guidelines.
  • Communicate with purchasing, operations, and category managers.
  • Assist team leader on special projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and guidelines.

What You’ll Do

As a full-time Inventory Specialist on our Warehouse Team, you’ll be responsible for cycle counts, product slotting, returns processing, and troubleshooting inventory discrepancies. You’ll collaborate with purchasing, operations, and category managers to keep our systems accurate and support efficient product movement throughout the warehouse.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift
Hours: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (overtime as needed)

Work takes place in our warehouse facility, which includes concrete floors and multiple temperature zones:

Physical Demands

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching. You must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required on occasion.
