Job summary

Quality Auto & Equipment, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Assistant to manage daily inventory, identify incoming equipment, log items into our system, and prepare equipment for shipping.

You will maintain accurate records, label goods, and participate in regular audits to prevent discrepancies. The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with inventory software, and good communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with inventory control or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Proficient with data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in logs and reports.

Job description

Quality Auto & Equipment, Inc. (QAE) is a multi-state business engaged in equipment storage and logistics management, with an open position for someone to handle daily inventory control. Basic duties include (but are not limited to) accurately identifying incoming equipment, logging the equipment into inventory, and labeling equipment for future shipping.

Responsibilities
  • - Manage inventory control processes and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient materials handling and management.
  • - Utilise e-commerce platforms and software systems, such as SmartSheet or Oracle, to track and analyze inventory data.
  • - Collect and maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, locations, and movements.
  • - Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
  • - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to inventory management.
  • - Develop and maintain effective supplier management relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chain operations.
