Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist will report directly to the Operations Manager and will have no direct reports. This position is responsible for supporting the organization by coordinating all activities of assigned medical devices accounts in inventory management.
Scope of Role Responsibilities
- Support Field Locations, Warehouse Operations, Sales leaders, and others in assigned areas.
- Utilize inventory management system for product/service distribution.
- Maintain count accuracy (digital and physical counting).
- Manage reports and analyze account metrics and productivity standards.
- Oversee procedures to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Provide inventory and data analysis.
- Manage inventory shelf life and expiring inventory procedures.
- Keep records of all inventory interactions and transactions.
- Track service levels and discrepancies.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare records of shortages and shipments.
- Dispose of damaged or obsolete products following regulatory procedures.
- Support quality initiatives.
- Store items orderly in the warehouse.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree or related experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, or Finance is a plus.
- Oracle/JDE experience preferred.
- 2+ years in Inventory Control role preferred.
- Experience with budget management and data entry systems is a plus.
- Customer-focused with strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Physical Demands
- Moderate to heavy physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Bending, standing, sitting, and navigating the warehouse.
