Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating weekly cycle counts as well as coordination of month end activities. Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and work cross functionally to resolve. Proactively work to prevent unnecessary aging of materials to prevent loss. Lead by example, train material handlers on cycle counting effectively and educate on the importance of inventory accuracy. Conduct regular cycle counts and update perpetual inventory.

Job Duties:

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Point person for day to day inventory issues
  2. Manages cycle counts for area of concentration: generates cycle count list, does daily cycle counting, and cycle count corrections
  3. Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, look for solutions to recurring problems
  4. Report back to production inventory transaction errors and return to stock issues
  5. Track and maintain inventory accuracy in all warehouses
  6. Update and maintain weekly tracking metrics
  7. Account for all production batch tickets, check for variances/errors, and file
  8. Respond to count requests from various departments promptly depending on priority
  9. Run lot aging reports daily, sample product for evaluation, escalate aging issues to minimize financial loss
  10. Process discontinued materials
  11. Ensure accuracy of transactions
  12. Manage the donation and liquidation processes, if required.

Knowledge of:

  • Hearthside Food Solutions products, production and inventory processes.
  • Material handling, Receiving warehouse and flow of materials

Skilled in:

  • Organization and time management
  • Data analysis and problem solving using defined methodologies

Ability to:

  • Lead by example, promote teamwork
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ensure collaborative relationships with Hearthside staff
  • Work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Issue and receive instructions using guidelines
  • Utilize ‘best in class’ behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus
  • Multi-task and respond to non-routine requests
  • Work in a detailed oriented fashion

Proficiency in: MS Office Suite, and Excel (SAP a plus)

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily done in an office and warehouse setting.
  • Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting at a work station for extended periods of time
  • Stand, walk, climb stairs on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience in inventory control
  • Demonstrated math skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills; MS office and email, SharePoint a plus
  • Experience with ERP programs, SAP a plus

Day Shift Position: 6AM to 6PM Wed., Thursday, Friday and alternating Saturdays.
