Job Description

An Inventory Specialist works with and reports to the General Manager and is responsible for HUB operations, including the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pull and ship HUB orders on time.
  • If HUB order can’t be filled, call the servicing store before the next HUB run, explaining how to reorder.
  • Complete all parts department cycle counts, including OUTS, in collaboration with store management.
  • Coordinate with store management to complete plan-o-grams and stock all parts.
  • Manage callbacks and MAXI changes in the parts department.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Complete required training and attend scheduled store meetings.
  • Train and develop team members under the General Manager's direction to ensure proper HUB operations.
  • Coordinate product delivery, maintain inventories, keep operating records, and prepare daily transaction reports.
  • Help ensure security, customer service, and record-keeping policies are followed.
Key Holder Responsibilities
  • Assign tasks, ensure safety, and perform open/close duties.

  • Effective communication skills and basic math proficiency.
  • Prior retail experience, including merchandising and inventory management.
  • Ability to operate forklifts (if certified), hand trucks, and pallet jacks.

  • Stable work history demonstrating performance.
  • Flexibility to work on short notice, including nights and weekends.
  • Immediately report policy violations to management.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Demands
  • Constant standing or walking.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to reach above shoulder level, squat, bend, and kneel.
Work Environment

Primarily indoor work (about 95%), with temperature control. Exposure to battery acid is possible; safety precautions should be followed when handling batteries or operating equipment like forklifts.
