Responsibilities
- Execute, monitor, and train staff on inventory best practices and SOPs for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Support pharmacy inventory activities such as receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Ensure On-Shelf Availability and validate planogram accuracy.
- Review and coordinate reports and system applications affecting inventory accuracy and pricing.
- Implement and maintain asset protection techniques, and handle claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, open and close the store as needed, including system start-ups, cash handling, cashier duties, and store readiness.
Customer Experience
- Engage customers, greet them, and assist with products and services. Resolve issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Model customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Operations
- Coach team members on inventory processes, including creating and receiving orders.
- Manage deliveries, including scanning, marking as received, and addressing inaccuracies with vendors.
- Verify pharmacy shipments, complete warehouse and pharmacy orders, and perform audits and reports.
- Execute On-Shelf Availability processes, disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns.
- Support pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, returns, and transfers.
- Handle pricing activities, including updates, markdowns, and regulatory compliance.
- Support ordering, maintain inventory counts, and ensure compliance with laws on regulated products.
- Assist in inventory record keeping and physical counts, prepare for inventory days, and maintain store cleanliness and merchandising.
- Support package delivery activities, POS transactions, and customer refunds when acting as leader on duty.
- Adhere to company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Participate in training, complete e-learning modules, and maintain required certifications.
Communications
- Serve as a liaison between management and staff, communicate tasks, and report issues. Requirements include six months of Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience, fluency in English, flexible schedule, and a positive performance record. Preferred experience includes leadership roles or pharmacy technician background.
