What you'll do

The Materials Team manages inventory process controls to meet cost, schedule, and quality goals in executing global fulfillment contractual requirements.

This role offers collaboration with dynamic cross-functional teams and impacts the success of our antenna systems organization.

Skills in physical inventory maintenance and ERP systems are essential to coordinate the flow of materials and meet customer requests efficiently.

Your work directly impacts on-time customer deliverables.

You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Procurement teams.

The day-to-day

• Perform cycle counting
• Inbound materials from receiving to stockroom
• Investigate inventory variances
• Process material sourcing requests via electronic templates or RF scanners
• Support shipment requirements
• Participate in cross-functional improvement projects, interfacing with stakeholders to improve inventory management systems

What you'll need

• 3+ years’ experience in material control and physical inventory maintenance
• Experience with warehouse inventory practices in high-tech manufacturing
• Experience operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts, reach lifts)
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP modules
• Knowledge of Hazardous Material handling and storage
• Strong integrity, dependability, and results orientation
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High School Diploma

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with cycle counting and variance resolution
• Managing inventory with project data
• Managing inventory on Government contracts
• Handling ESD/MSD sensitive materials
• Experience with process improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Salary range

$18.75 - $29.33/hourly; for specific locations, $24.52 - $37.02/hourly. Compensation varies based on experience and background. Additional incentives and benefits are available. Learn more at Viasat Benefits.
