Job summary

Insight Global in Texas is seeking an IT Asset Manager to own the full lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to retirement, ensuring accurate records and strict chain-of-custody. You will oversee inventory, deployments, audits, and license tracking in a structured, enterprise environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in IT asset management, inventory control, or technology logistics.
  • Experience with asset/inventory or service management systems.
  • Familiarity with PCs, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and software licensing.
  • Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to follow security, approval, chain-of-custody, and data handling procedures.
  • Strong communication with technical teams, vendors, and end users.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Job description

This role is focused on managing the full lifecycle of IT assets, including computers, mobile devices, printers, software licenses, and related technology equipment. The person will be responsible for inventory control, asset tracking, deployments, refreshes, returns, audits, warranty tracking, and secure disposal while maintaining accurate documentation and chain-of-custody records.

This is primarily an IT asset management and logistics position rather than a Help Desk role. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced managing inventory, equipment fulfillment, and asset records in a structured environment.

Key Requirements
  • 2+ years of IT asset management, inventory control, or technology logistics experience
  • Experience using asset management, inventory, or service management systems
  • Familiarity with PCs, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and software licensing
  • Strong documentation, organization, and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to follow security, approval, chain-of-custody, and data handling procedures
  • Strong communication skills with technical teams, vendors, and end users
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
Preferred
  • Experience with KACE, ServicePRO, Jira Service Management, or similar tools
  • Device refresh and lifecycle management experience
  • Software license tracking and warranty administration
  • CompTIA A+ or related certification
  • Customer service-focused IT environment experience
