Job summary

Aramark in Boston is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Coordinator III responsible for purchasing and storage of food and kitchen supplies from vendors, evaluating quotes to select cost-effective suppliers, and enforcing purchasing policies. The role manages weekly inventory, coordinates delivery and returns, and ensures proper storage, FIFO, and compliance with Prima standards.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, at least two years in food service, and strong data and supply chain

Qualifications

High School diploma required.
Two years of food service experience required.
Proficient with computer systems.
Able to read and interpret procedures and write routine reports.
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios to practical tasks.
Demonstrates management, leadership, planning and organization skills.

Responsibilities

Maintains friendly, efficient service attitude toward customers and coworkers.
Places all food, supply, and equipment orders for the department.
Orders to par levels using guides, sheets and menus; purchases to keep stock.
Prepares return material documentation for credits.
Assists staff with back-orders, product changes, and inventory discrepancies.
Keeps abreast of contract/profile changes in Group Purchasing Organizations.
Receives and stores deliveries; uses FIFO; checks for spoilage and dated items.
Maintains clean, organized storage areas with proper labeling and dating.
Complies with Prima standards.
Supports Prima requirements including weekly menu maintenance and invoice entry.
