Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to implement inventory management solutions, drive data collection, and oversee installations and post‑install support.

The role emphasizes solutions selling, cross‑team collaboration, and adherence to service levels across MSC’s offerings. The IMS will work with sales teams to promote best‑in‑class experiences, manage time and projects, and develop proficiency with tools and PPE, while supporting MSC’s mission and policies

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
• Minimum two (2) years supporting value‑added customer solutions/inventory management programs is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software is preferred.
• Knowledge of MSC‑like product lines/services and MSC related experience is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of general sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with MSC Sales Teams to drive sales growth through solutions.
• Maintains knowledge of MSC solutions including bar coded solutions and vending.
• Follows Salesforce protocols for project and time management.
• Drives solutions discovery, data collection, installations, post‑install support and supply‑chain optimization.
• Represents MSC Solutions at branch meetings and fosters partnerships with sales associates.
• Follows MSC policies and participates in special projects.
