Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist in Wilmington, DE to implement inventory management solutions, promote a best-in-class experience, and drive solutions across sales teams.

The role includes data collection, installations, and on-site service to optimize the customer supply chain. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in value-added solutions and inventory management, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or the equivalent relevant experience is required
• Minimum two (2) years supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management programs is preferred
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred
• Knowledge of MSC-like product lines/services & MSC related experience is required
• Minimum of two (2) years of general sales experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with MSC Sales Teams to drive solutions growth
• Maintains knowledge of MSC solutions including bar coded options like CMI and VMI
• Follows Salesforce protocols for project and time management
• Data collection, solutions discovery and recommendations
• Installations, break-fix and post-install support
• Support supply chain optimization and adherence to SLAs
• Proficient with tools, PPE and safety requirements
• Provides feedback to management for process improvement
• Represents MSC Solutions at branch meetings with sales teams
• Follows MSC policies and participates in special projects
