Harbor Steel in Prichard, WV is seeking a Receiving / Inventory Control Specialist for first shift. The role focuses on inspecting incoming materials, maintaining precise inventory records, and ensuring physical stock matches system data.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, computer-savvy, and able to work independently or with a team in a warehouse environment. Prior experience in metals or inventory control is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required or relevant work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Basic computer skills and inventory data entry.
• Ability to read and follow purchase orders, bills of lading, and material documentation.
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate material-handling equipment if trained.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality, quantity, and condition.
• Match bills of lading with purchase orders and apply inventory tags.
• Enter receiving and inventory data into Metalware accurately.
• Identify damaged or non-conforming materials and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and proper location tagging.
• Perform daily cycle counts and respond to inventory inquiries.
• Support safety procedures and use PPE as required.
