Job summary

Harbor Steel is seeking a Shift Supervisor for its Prichard, WV warehouse on the 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will lead daily logistics, coordinate inbound/outbound material flows, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has supervision experience, strong communication, and knowledge of warehouse operations, with a focus on safety and productivity. Eligible for benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of steel products and their proper identification, storage, and location within a warehouse.
• Understanding of truck routing, shipping documentation, and applicable DOT regulations.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and QMS training materials.
• Ability to manage multiple aspects of warehouse operations and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to delegate responsibilities, motivate employees, and promote teamwork.
• Ability to use measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and angle finders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane with the required certifications and authorization.
• Commitment to workplace safety, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work the assigned shift and meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and efficiently.
• Verify that outgoing trucks are loaded accurately and in compliance with applicable DOT regulations.
• Lead, delegate, and coordinate the work of truck drivers, material handlers, and material loaders.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Communicate operational needs, issues, and performance concerns to the Plant Superintendent.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
