About the Role:

The Inventory, Receiving, and QA Control Specialist is a highly motivated and detail-oriented team member to support our Inventory/Receiving Supervisor in maintaining optimal inventory levels for our mill operations. This vital role ensures we have the necessary materials to operate efficiently and meet production demands. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess a strong sense of ownership, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine bin audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Conduct daily counts of bagged inventory to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure material availability
  • Maintain meticulous inventory control of micro bins, including medication products while adhering to strict regulatory guidelines
  • Manage rail car inventory, including safely moving and emptying rail cars in accordance with established procedures
  • Monitor hopper levels and efficiently empty hoppers, ensuring a consistent supply of materials for production
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within racking systems and rail side areas
  • Provide flexible support to production operations as needed, assisting with material handling and other tasks
  • Proactively communicate inventory discrepancies, potential shortages, or other issues to the supervisor
  • Receive, unload, and accurately store truck shipments within racking systems, ensuring efficient space utilization

The Right Candidate:

  • Demonstrated ability to operate or quickly learn to operate a variety of heavy equipment, including forklifts, front loaders, skid loaders, rail car movers, and jockey trucks.
  • Capable of consistently lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to navigate multiple flights of stairs and work comfortably at elevated heights.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or feed mill environment is highly desirable.
