Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, a major distributor, seeks an inventory control and QA-focused worker for a day shift in Waterloo, IA. You will perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and document QA audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and proficiency with MS Office. Experience with warehouse systems (WMS) is a plus, and the position supports health, safety, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in inventory control or quality assurance preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled physical counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies involving products and quantities.
• Conduct and document audits of the receiving and put-away processes, and assist with both internal and external audits.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, adhering strictly to established protocols and standards.
• Guide quality assurance processes, tools, and quality standards with industrial teams to achieve flawless outcomes.
• Develop and improve reports evaluating standards or specialized testing methods to ensure results meet or exceed quality, timing, and cost standards.
• Contribute to the development of protocols for the implementation and maintenance of technical QA and control systems for production processes.
• Assist in audits and review quality data according to existing procedures, detailing results in the required format.
• Coordinate data for technical documentation to enable the quality methods function to calibrate and refine methodologies, crafting continuous improvement impacts.
• Adhere to company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance to support team and operational success.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the team.
