Ocean State Air Solutions in Portsmouth, RI is seeking a dependable Warehouse and Purchasing Coordinator to manage inventory, coordinate purchasing, track materials, and ensure field teams have everything they need to complete jobs efficiently.

This role blends computer-based work with hands-on warehouse tasks. You will work with vendors, maintain accurate records, and help control costs while keeping daily operations on schedule. A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, warehouse coordination, or a related operations role.
• Experience ordering materials, coordinating with vendors, or managing purchase orders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computers and inventory management software.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, track costs, and generate reports.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to assist with loading, unloading, organizing, and transporting materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of HVAC equipment, parts, materials, and warehouse supplies to support daily operations.
• Create, track, and maintain purchase orders while ensuring accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery information.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, orders, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials to maintain appropriate stock without unnecessary overpurchasing.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and accuracy, and address discrepancies with vendors.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, purchasing documentation, job costing information, and reports within company software.
• Organize, stage, and prepare equipment and materials for scheduled installation and service jobs.
• Coordinate with field technicians, managers, and office personnel to ensure materials are available when needed.
