Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Parts/Purchasing Assistant to support Batavia Plant inventory and receiving duties. You will help maintain inventory systems (Modula/MP2), review POs for accuracy, and request vendor quotes while backing up the Purchasing Supervisor in PO restocking and invoicing tasks.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma, strong computer skills, fast typing (50 WPM), and excellent organization and communication abilities. Join a team focused on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to type at least 50 words a minute.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in administrative or clerical roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels and receiving for the Batavia Plant.
• Review purchase orders for accuracy and delivery.
• Request quotes from vendors as needed.
• Back up Purchasing Supervisor for restock POs and invoicing.
• Export Modula/MP2 reports to Excel and manage data.
• Address shipping, receiving, and payment issues with vendors.
• Assist in physical inventory and stockroom organization.
• Serve as point of contact for parts/stockroom questions.
• Distribute department information to leadership.
