Job summary

HP Hood LLC in Winchester, VA is seeking a Parts & Purchasing Assistant to order parts and maintain inventory for the plant. You will manage requisitions, issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and keep stock organized to support production.

The role requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and good communication. You will collaborate with internal customers and vendors, perform regular inventory, and help ensure accurate stocking and fast resolution of parts needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced computer skills in Word and Excel.
• Typing speed of at least 50 wpm.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and administrative aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy in MP2.
• Enter requisitions with correct cost centers and account codes.
• Issue purchase orders to maintain inventory levels.
• Review PO deliveries for accuracy.
• Label and distribute inbound deliveries.
• Create new Hood numbers for new parts.
• Label and barcode bins to match contents.
• Respond to internal customer questions about parts/stockroom.
• Prepare and participate in physical inventory.
