Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services, Maine, is seeking an Inventory & Property Associate I to support the Maine Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory (HETL). You will manage inventory, process purchases and maintain accurate records for laboratorians.

Ideal candidates will have strong detail orientation, organizational and analytical skills, and experience with inventory management and Microsoft Office. This role supports critical public health operations in Augusta.

Qualifications

• Training, education or experience in office and administrative support work applying inventory and property management principles.
• Ability to use independent judgment in handling exceptions to duties, priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Sort and match packing slips and invoices, reconciling against vendor statements.
• Enter capital equipment into databases and maintain inventory control systems.
• Create computerized requisitions, purchase orders and delivery orders as requested.
• Provide support regarding HETL orders to laboratorians and facilitate sample distribution within the lab.
