Job summary

Staff Perm invites applications for an Inventory and Procurement Specialist I to support supply chain efficiency through effective inventory and purchase order management.

This position involves managing inventory planning and procurement activities by collaborating with suppliers and warehouses. You will handle purchase order processes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely shipments to maintain supply chain continuity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 1-3 years in supply chain management with direct experience in procurement, supply planning or supplier management.
• 1+ years experience working with vendors.
• 1+ years experience supporting planning inventory and/or PO purchase orders.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• MS Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall functional support to the Supply Planning team.
• Manage post creation PO process from supplier order confirmation to complete invoice reconciliation.
• Ensure timely order confirmation compliance and accurate updates in SAP.
• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses and A/P to ensure on time shipments and resolve discrepancies.
• Negotiate delivery expedites and recovery plans with critical suppliers.
• Proactively identify supply risks and propose alternate sourcing, substitution, or logistics solutions.
