Job summary

Sysco Corp. in Riverside, CA is seeking an experienced Inventory Planner to optimize replenishment and inventory control across supplier networks.

You will ensure PO accuracy, minimize spoilage and shrink, and drive service levels using DPR tools and best practices. Responsibilities include managing 2,300–4,000 SKUs vendor direct and 3,500+ redistributed lines weekly, collaborating with merchandising, logistics, and procurement, and maintaining KPI-driven performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Inventory Management/Purchasing; equivalent combos allowed.
• Experience in retail/wholesale/distribution.
• Distributor environment with 10,000+ SKUs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels to maximize customer service.
• Manage Inventory DSO, aged, obsolete, spoilage, and shrink.
• Collaborate with merchandising, suppliers and other functions.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Demand Planning Replenishment (DPR).
• Work with logistics to maximize supply chain efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Inbound Planning to optimize receiving/warehousing.
• Manage SKU counts (2,300–4,000 vendor direct; 3,500+ redistributed; 750 perishable weekly).
• Meet KPIs and ensure timely purchasing of new items and system setup.
• Process Salesforce 360 requests (NISR and MSR) promptly.
• Follow market conditions within corporate guidelines.
• Understand seasonal trends and commodity purchasing dynamics.
• Execute enterprise purchasing initiatives.
• Confirm PO pricing and quantities; resolve late/missing POs.
• Respond to CORA requests promptly.
