Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Inventory Stock Associate to maintain accurate inventory, support freight receiving and posting, cycle counts, shelving, and order pulling for delivery drivers, customers, and will-call. Strong automotive parts knowledge is valued.

You will use inventory systems, assist customers, and help keep the store clean and organized, focusing on on-time stocking, safety, and asset protection. Stand and lift requirements apply in this fast-paced retail/warehouse role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year previous experience stocking, loading, or pulling.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent experience, required.
• Must be functionally literate and capable of recognizing part numbers and line codes.
• Must be able to write legibly.
• Must operate a computer terminal and perform related duties.
• Able to lift/move parts up to 60 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds.
• Able to move engine blocks/heavy equipment with moving aids.
• Able to reach upper shelves (8 feet) with stool or ladder.
• Able to stand or walk for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pulls all orders for drivers, counter retail/wholesale customers and will-call, accurately and on time.
• Receive, post, stock, and organize incoming merchandise; maintain shelving.
• Conduct cycle counts and support inventory accuracy.
• Perform housekeeping and safety-compliant area organization.
• Use inventory systems for coordination, dispatching support, and fulfillment.
• Assist customers by phone or in person as needed.
• Coordinate deliveries and prepare orders for customers and drivers.
• Support store operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
