Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Inventory Stock Associate to maintain accurate inventory, ensure efficient product flow, and keep a clean, organized store environment. Responsibilities include receiving/posting freight, cycle counts, shelving, and accurate order pulling for delivery drivers and will-call customers.

The role requires strong knowledge of automotive parts, the ability to identify correct parts, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year previous experience stocking, loading, or pulling.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent experience, required.
• Identify part numbers and line codes to ensure proper placement.
• Write legibly.
• Basic computer terminal skills.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds and push/pull 300 pounds.
• Able to move heavy equipment with moving aids.
• Reach upper shelves (8 feet) with stool or ladder.
• Stand for shift work.
• Reports to Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager; works with counter sales, drivers, customers.
• Retail Store Operations within Napa.

Responsibilities

• Pull all orders for drivers and for counter customers and will-call with accurate routing.
• Receive, post, stock, and organize incoming merchandise.
• Conduct cycle counts and support inventory accuracy.
• Perform housekeeping and safe disposal of materials.
• Use inventory systems for coordination and fulfillment.
• Assist customers by phone or in person as volume requires.
• Coordinate deliveries and dispatch orders with the delivery team.
• Support store operations and merchandising to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of store processes.
