Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field preferred; high school diploma or GED required
• Food processing or packaging industry experience strongly preferred
• Understanding of food safety, workplace safety and food quality standards is strongly preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP system
• Ability to perform the physical job demands and maintain automated records

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and inspecting shipments to ensure accuracy of parts and quantities
• Help stock parts in designated inventory areas or deliver parts to work areas
• Issue parts and supplies to mechanics, logging all issued items accurately
• Use computer or inventory systems to record basic transactions
• Help maintain a clean and organized parts room
• Apply barcode labels to parts for inventory tracking
• Assist in conducting inventory counts under supervision
• Follow safety rules and proper storage of hazardous materials
• Operate material handling equipment with training
• Barcode inventory parts for tracking usage
