Position Overview

The Maintenance Parts Clerk will be responsible for assisting with inventory of parts at Horseshoe Beverage. This entry-level position is responsible for supporting receipt, inventory-cycle counting, stocking, and issuing parts and supplies and/or returning assigned or designated parts and services back to vendors. Work is performed under direct supervision most of the time by Parts Administrator and the Maintenance Manager. Work is reviewed periodically to ensure conformity with departmental policies and procedures. Act as backup to purchaser upon purchaser’s absence, contact vendors, send Purchase Orders to vendors, and work with manager to get invoices paid.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with receiving and inspecting shipments to ensure accuracy of parts and quantities.
  • Help stock parts in designated inventory areas or deliver parts to work areas.
  • Issue parts and supplies to mechanics upon request, logging all issued items accurately.
  • Use computer or inventory systems to record basic transactions (e.g., part issuance or returns).
  • Help maintain a clean and organized parts room.
  • Apply barcode labels to parts for inventory tracking.
  • Assist in conducting inventory counts under supervision.
  • Follow all safety rules and assist with proper storage of hazardous materials.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment such as hand trucks or pallet jacks (with training).
  • Bar code all inventory parts for tracking usage.
  • Comply with all regulations regarding the handling of hazardous materials. Obtain Material Safety Data Sheets as required from vendors.
  • Must understand and follow all safety rules.
  • Use a variety of materials and equipment, such as, forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, computers, etc.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of industry parts, tools, repair, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing stockroom practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of record keeping.
  • Ability to maintain automated inventory records.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and machines.
  • Associates Degree in a related field is highly preferred, high school diploma or GED required. Related technical training or education is strongly preferred.
  • Food processing or packaging industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and food quality standards is strongly preferred.
  • Previous maintenance technician or maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in a food or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and experience using an ERP system.
  • Ability to perform the physical job demands.
  • Personally motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while focusing on meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Excellent attendance and performance track record.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
Hours, Location and Pay

We offer a competitive base pay rate of $23/hr. This position is full-time working 40+ per week at our Neenah, WI manufacturing facility.

Physical and Mental Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
