Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain accurate supply inventory, perform cycle counts, and process replenishments in our Illinois facilities.

You will work with departments and vendors to minimize stockouts, reduce costs, and improve inventory processes while upholding data integrity and ERP standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• One year of ordering, purchasing, inventory control, and/or general accounting required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under short time frames.
• Proficient with standard office software and ERP to maintain accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and rotate stock, document outdated or overstocked items.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory and daily cycle counts.
• Investigate discrepancies and implement process improvements.
• Process replenishment requisitions through the ERP system.
• Maintain data integrity and accurate item files in the system.
