Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain supply inventory, perform cycle counts, and process replenishments in our ERP system. You will collaborate with departments and vendors to reduce costs and improve inventory processes while ensuring accuracy and timely stock availability.

The role requires strong data integrity, adherence to standards, and the ability to work in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• One year of ordering, purchasing, inventory control and/or general accounting.
• Ability to function under short time frames, correspond and negotiate with others clearly; manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of basic inventory control systems/procedures; strong computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and rotate stock; remove outdated items; document issues.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory and daily cycle counts.
• Investigate discrepancies using ERP data and implement corrective actions.
• Process replenishment requisitions through the ERP with accuracy.
• Review usage patterns and reduce variances; maintain data integrity.
