Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage stock levels, perform cycle counts, and coordinate replenishments in our hospital supply chain. You will work closely with departments and vendors to ensure availability and cost effectiveness.

The role requires accurate data entry, strong communication, and the ability to resolve discrepancies promptly within our ERP system. This on-site position supports Mercyhealth across multiple facilities and emphasizes teamwork and process

Qualifications

• One year of ordering, purchasing, inventory control and/or general accounting required.
• Knowledge of computer skills including use of standard office software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Graduation from High School or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree preferred; CPIM or other inventory management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, rotate, remove and document outdated/overstocked supplies; coordinate annual physical inventory.
• Maintain cycle count accuracy and investigate discrepancies using ERP transaction history; implement corrective actions.
• Process replenishment requisitions via ERP and ensure timely deliveries with minimal errors.
• Inform departments of substitutions, back orders, delays and stock outs; review and update inventory data integrity.
