Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeks an Inventory Control Analyst to maintain branch parts inventory, analyze demand, and execute transfers using the ERP system. You will ensure optimal stock levels, coordinate with branches, and drive cost-effective purchasing decisions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, customer service excellence, and proficiency with computerized business systems (ERP) and Microsoft Office. This on-site position supports multiple Raleigh-area branches.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree with two years inventory analysis experience OR an associate’s degree with four years related experience OR a high school diploma with six years computerized inventory experience.
• One additional year of experience in a GPEC Inventory Control Analyst I role or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer service skills and advanced skills with computerized business systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established inventory levels and customer service objectives through daily review of Reports and ERP data.
• Orders and transfers products daily via ERP to fill stock requirements.
• Evaluates bulk purchase opportunities and recommends purchases to supervisors.
• Prepares weekly slow-moving/non-stock reports and reviews surplus items for returns.
• Orders emergency parts with key vendors to meet customer demand.
• Adjusts system inventory levels based on upcoming demand changes.
• Reviews future dated order opportunities with branch parts managers monthly.
• Maintains daily contact with branches to resolve inventory discrepancies and shipping issues.
• Follows up to ensure stock receipt and filing of claims for missing/damaged inventory.
• Represents inventory topics at branch meetings and informs supervisor of problem areas.
• Adds new part numbers and updates pricing in ERP as required by vendors.
