Job summary

Room & Board in Chicago is seeking a Multi-Location Inventory & Operations Specialist to keep inventory accurate and product moving across our Chicago, Oak Brook and Skokie showrooms, in partnership with Delivery and Distribution Centers. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organization and technology literacy to manage priorities across multiple locations.

You will count, tag, transfer, and restock items; coordinate with showroom leadership and partners; and improve processes using SAP,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of inventory management, retail operations, logistics or related experience.
• Strong organization, planning and project coordination skills.
• Experience managing inventory processes, including cycle counts, replenishment, product movement and inventory accuracy.
• Strong technology aptitude with Excel and Microsoft 365; SAP or ERP experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across partners and locations.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy across multiple locations.
• Count, locate, organize and move product; maintain tagging; support larger projects.
• Plan and prioritize work across locations; coordinate with Delivery and Distribution Centers.
• Use SAP, Excel, Microsoft 365 to research inventory issues and maintain data.
• Build partnerships across locations; coordinate priorities with showroom leadership and partners.
• Identify root causes of discrepancies and improve processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain safe, organized stockrooms to support showroom teams and customer experience.
