Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking an Inventory Team Lead II to oversee daily production activities within a designated area. This role focuses on safe, efficient operations, coaching staff, and maintaining high quality standards.

The Lead will monitor performance metrics, ensure policy compliance, supervise material handling, and mentor teammates to improve processes while supporting a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 months of related experience in manufacturing or production.
• Leadership experience to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong numerical and data-tracking abilities.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach production personnel in the area, providing feedback to improve performance.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for processes in the area.
• Track production metrics to meet or exceed daily targets and implement corrective actions.
• Perform first-piece quality checks on new jobs and train team members on quality standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency across operations within the area to support training.
• Coordinate job staging to prepare upcoming tasks and minimize downtime.
• Identify opportunities for productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Operate motorized equipment safely when required and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and foster teamwork.
• Demonstrate punctuality and dependability; perform other duties as needed.
