Job summary

Walgreens in Mountain View, CA is seeking a detail‑oriented Inventory Specialist to execute and monitor inventory practices across both front end and pharmacy. You will support receiving, counting, ordering, pricing, and returns, ensure planograms and on-shelf availability, and validate inventory accuracy in all store systems.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will help manage pharmacy shipments, perform stock counts, assist with pricing changes, and maintain compliance with state laws.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens or one year in retail.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated performance with high expectations and clean conduct.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience identifying operational issues and proposing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices for store and pharmacy.
• Review reports and system applications affecting on-hand balances and pricing.
• Maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection; process vendor overages, shortages, and damaged goods.
• Open/close store as needed; handle cash and ensure readiness for business day.
• Engage customers and deliver a distinctive Walgreens experience under leader on duty.
• Coach team on warehouse, vendor inventory processes, and POS/inventory tasks.
