Job summary

BuyWander is seeking an Assistant General Manager of Inventory in West Valley City to own warehouse execution and inventory flow. This role is a leadership position with full accountability from inbound to customer readiness, not a junior GM role.

You will partner with the GM to translate business expectations into daily operations, drive throughput, accuracy, and labor efficiency, and lead supervisors and team leads with integrity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in warehouse, logistics, inventory management, or distribution operations.
• Detail-obsessed and disciplined about accuracy and organization.
• Clear communicator who surfaces problems early with solutions.
• Comfortable with technology including inventory systems and dashboards.
• Mission-driven with ability to build from scratch in a growing company.
• Experience in resale, returns, liquidation, or high-volume fulfillment welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Own inbound freight flow, receiving, unloading, and truck readiness.
• Own processing productivity, throughput, backlog reduction, and grading.
• Own inventory location accuracy, put-away productivity, and 5S.
• Own picking productivity, accuracy, wave execution, and cost per unit.
• Own flow from pick to stage to customer and handoffs.
• Own physical inventory discipline and cycle counts for accuracy.
• Build and execute daily labor deployment and adapt to workload changes.
• Run daily startup huddles and monitor backlog, productivity, and recovery.
• Lead warehouse supervisors and ensure safety and high standards.
• Collaborate with GM and People Ops on performance and relations.
