Job summary

General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) seeks an experienced Inventory Specialist to support production at Naval Air Station Paxtuent River, Maryland. You will plan and control inventory levels, maintain centralized records, and coordinate with purchasing, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure timely stock availability.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and seven+ years in inventory control, with strong knowledge of MRP, Kanban, BOM changes, and material handling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with seven+ years progressive experience in inventory control and related tools/dies.
• Basic familiarity with office and inventory/stock control software.
• Extensive knowledge of material handling equipment and hand, machine and measuring tools.
• Mechanical skills to maintain tools and devices; ability to diagnose issues and propose solutions.
• Strong teamwork, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; willingness to extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor material requirements based on MRP, Kanban, and reorder point reports.
• Generate purchase requisitions to meet project and production needs.
• Coordinate stock transfers and expediting with purchasing, planning, and warehouse.
• Maintain MRP system data and central document control for accountability.
• Assist with obsolescence analysis and stock level replenishment.
• Support audits, cycle counts, and inventory discrepancy resolution.
