Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner for our Adelanto, CA facility.

Under general supervision, you will plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules, coordinating with materials to ensure timely flow of approved materials to meet production needs. You will advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure adequate staffing, equipment, and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Planning, Engineering, Production Control or related.
• 3+ years progressive experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting and performance measurement.
• General understanding of manufacturing planning principles and ERP/MRP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develops manufacturing work orders per MRP planned orders and guides actions.
• Schedules, monitors performance, analyzes and reports on activities for material flow.
• Investigates and resolves manufacturing issues; provides input for processes and technologies.
• Interprets ECOs and dispositions affecting stock, WIP, and NEXT assembly.
• Produces reports, identifies variances, and supports regulatory requirements.
