Job summary

American Electric Power in Texas is seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist the Material Services organization by handling material accountability, storeroom and storage yard operations.

The role involves issuing materials, inspecting received items, operating material handling equipment, packing for shipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts while following safety rules and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of inventory control or warehousing experience.
• Basic computer skills; Maximo experience preferred; Excel/Word preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and pass the PAT.
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL within six months if required.

Responsibilities

• Issue material with proper authorization and recordkeeping.
• Receive, inspect, and process material receipts.
• Operate material handling equipment and vehicles as needed.
• Prepare shipments and packing, including hazardous materials handling per procedures.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and adjustments.
• Support storage optimization and bin/rack changes.
