Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a material handler to manage receiving, storage, and unloading tasks in our Arkadelphia facility. You will ensure correct material flow to lines, verify quantities, and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include unloading inbound materials, labeling pallets, and supporting scheduling with the unloading plan. A 12-hour shift and training period are required; prior experience in a food environment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour shift.
• Able to read and manage paperwork.
• Trained by qualified job trainer for time designated by training plan.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must know how to use Proficy.
• Must be able to operate an automatic walk behind hand truck.
• Experienced in Food environment desired.

Responsibilities

• Supplying all products from receiving, shipping and storage to correct line/area.
• Clearing areas of trash and moving it to proper areas.
• Transferring receiving goods to correct storage area.
• Verifying all materials received by supplier.
• Documenting materials moved or used during shift.
• Unloading inbound materials and some LTL.
• Writing the SKU designation on each pallet for identification.
• Applying bar code labels to pallets and verifying quantities.
• Reviewing daily production schedules to determine unloading plan.
