Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company in Arkadelphia, AR is seeking a Bakery Equipment Operator to set up and run the manufacturing line, establishing priorities and following production guidelines.

You will monitor runs, troubleshoot basic issues, uphold GMP and food safety practices, and contribute to a safe, clean work environment. A high school diploma is required; prior manufacturing and teamwork experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Previous safety training preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Experience assisting with change overs preferred.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up operation of bakery equipment/manufacturing line, establishing priorities and sequences for producing products per guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Production/Packaging procedures and inspect areas for issues.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor or manager as soon as possible.
• Complete and submit production reports throughout the day.
• Visually inspect product for quality and quantity.
• Monitor runs and perform basic troubleshooting on bakery equipment.
• Support quality control programs to meet food safety and quality standards.
• Adhere to safety procedures applicable to daily operations and lock out/tag out where applicable.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment following GMP and safety policies.
• May perform other duties as needed.
