Job summary

Suna Solutions is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead inventory control across a network of distribution centers. You will drive accuracy, standardize processes, and optimize WMS and Oracle ERP to support SOX, FDA, and internal SOP compliance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, capability to perform root-cause analysis, manage cycle counts, and develop KPIs using Advanced Excel. Travel of 50%+ is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.
  • 3–5+ years inventory management experience in distribution or similar environment.
  • Experience managing inventory at network/multi-facility level.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS and Oracle ERP.
  • Experience standardizing inventory processes across multiple facilities.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA, food safety, SOX, and inventory compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead inventory management and control across multiple distribution centers.
  • Establish and standardize inventory processes, policies, and best practices across the network.
  • Manage stocktaking, cycle counts, fixed-date inventories, and variance/offset analysis.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, FDA, food safety, and SOP requirements.
  • Manage and optimize WMS and Oracle ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory data.
  • Oversee barcode, RF scanning, warehouse automation, and inventory tracking technologies.
  • Drive process improvements across receiving, storage, picking, and distribution operations.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve accuracy and reduce costs.
  • Develop and monitor inventory KPIs, reports, and analytics using Advanced Excel.
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, IT, and senior leadership to resolve issues.
  • Lead, coach, and develop inventory teams across locations.
  • Provide training and establish consistent inventory handling and safety practices.
  • Support development of inventory infrastructure in growing operations.

Salary: $102,000 – $126,000 + 0–20% Bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to lead inventory control and optimization across a multi-site distribution network. This role will be responsible for inventory accuracy, WMS/ERP optimization, process standardization, compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple distribution centers.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing network-level inventory operations, resolving complex inventory discrepancies, and implementing standardized inventory processes across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead inventory management and control across multiple distribution centers.
  • Establish and standardize inventory processes, policies, and best practices across the network.
  • Manage stocktaking, cycle counts, fixed-date inventories, and variance/offset analysis.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform detailed root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, FDA, food safety, and internal SOP requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in food distribution, retail, or a similar environment.
  • Proven experience managing inventory at a network/multi-facility level.
  • Strong experience with inventory accuracy, discrepancy resolution, and root-cause analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS and Oracle ERP.
  • Experience implementing inventory processes and standardization across multiple facilities.
  • Knowledge of stocktaking, cycle counting, and inventory control methodologies.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA, food safety, SOX, and inventory compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS, CSCMP, or other supply chain/inventory certification.
  • Experience with warehouse automation, barcode/RF technology, and inventory tracking systems.
  • Experience improving inventory processes within a growing or less mature organization.
  • Experience developing standardized procedures and scalable inventory frameworks.
Travel & Working Conditions
  • 50%+ travel to regional distribution centers, including overnight and cross-country travel.
  • May require extended hours during peak periods, inventory counts, and site visits.
  • May require occasional weekend, evening, holiday, or on-call support for WMS and operational needs.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site distribution environment.
