Job summary

Control Flow is seeking a highly organized Inventory Control Specialist in Houston to oversee inventory accuracy, material movement, receiving and storage, and reporting.

The role favors candidates with oilfield equipment experience and proficiency in Syteline ERP and Excel, plus the ability to read part numbers, packing lists, and POs. You will collaborate across Purchasing, Sales, Operations, and Shipping to maintain optimal stock levels.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control or related field.
• Oil & Gas / Oilfield Equipment experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Syteline ERP.
• Ability to read and understand part numbers, equipment descriptions, packing lists, and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records across warehouse and company systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages, excess inventory, and discrepancies.
• Receive, inspect, identify, and properly store incoming materials and equipment.
• Track material movement between receiving, warehouse, production, repair, and shipping areas.
• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure materials are properly labeled, tagged, and stored.
• Maintain accurate part numbers, descriptions, quantities, locations, and serial numbers.
• Track serialized and high-value oilfield equipment.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, Quality, and Accounting to resolve inventory issues.
• Prepare inventory reports and provide management with accurate inventory information.
• Assist with inventory forecasting and replenishment requirements.
• Monitor obsolete, slow-moving, damaged, or excess inventory.
• Ensure inventory transactions are accurately entered into the ERP/inventory management system.
• Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Follow company procedures and applicable safety requirements.

Oilfield Equipment Experience

Experience with oilfield equipment is highly preferred, particularly familiarity with:

• Casing heads and casing spools
• Tubing heads and hangers
• Wellhead flanges and adapters
• Christmas trees
• Blowout Preventers (BOPs)
• Annular and Ram BOPs
• Valves and pressure-control equipment
• Flanges, fittings, and related components
• Serialized equipment and pressure-containing components

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, materials management, or a related position.
• Oil & Gas / Oilfield Equipment experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with Syteline ERP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and understand part numbers, equipment descriptions, packing lists, and purchase orders.
• Experience performing cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with warehouse and office personnel.
