We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee warehouse inventory operations for a growing field services organization. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for inventory accuracy, vendor ordering, shipping and receiving, replenishment, and warehouse team oversight.
The ideal candidate will have a strong inventory management background within a service, field services, distribution, or similar environment and be comfortable managing a large volume of parts and SKUs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory KPIs, including inventory turns, balances, replenishment levels, and overall inventory accuracy.
- Place vendor orders and enter/manage purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Oversee receiving, shipping documentation, inventory transfers, and warehouse processes.
- Coordinate with key vendors to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Manage cycle counts, physical inventories, warranties, returns, and core inventory.
- Maintain appropriate MIN/MAX inventory levels and support truck/bin replenishment.
- Lead and support warehouse material handlers and inventory clerks.
- Maintain chain-of-custody and inventory control procedures to minimize loss and discrepancies.
- Partner with Operations and other departments to ensure parts and materials are available to support customer needs.
- Monitor inventory across 500+ SKUs with an average inventory balance of approximately $1M.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse and inventory management experience.
- Previous experience supporting a field services, service, distribution, or similar operation preferred.
- Experience with vendor ordering, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and inventory replenishment.
- 1+ year of experience working with a major ERP system such as SAP, Vision, Microsoft, or Acumatica.
- Strong understanding of purchase orders, cycle counts, physical inventory, warranties, returns, and inventory reporting.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with inventory metrics and reporting.
- Previous leadership or team supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment while maintaining strong inventory controls.
