Position Summary: The Inventory Management Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate inventory levels and efficient warehouse operations. This position is responsible for monitoring stock movement, conducting regular inventory audits, and collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory flow. The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and hands-on engagement with physical inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and record the movement of inventory in and out of the warehouse using inventory management systems.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and report findings to management.
  • Coordinate with receiving and shipping teams to ensure timely and accurate stock updates.
  • Maintain organized and clearly labeled storage areas to optimize space and minimize errors.
  • Assist in developing warehouse inventory procedures and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory and support appropriate resolution actions.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as needed for inventory handling.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
  • 2+ years of warehouse or inventory control experience preferred.
  • Proficient in inventory or warehouse management systems (e.g., WMS, SAP, NetSuite).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily based in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • May involve standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Occasional extended hours or weekend work based on operational needs.
