The Management Analyst II provides analytical and administrative support for financial, operational, and asset-management functions. This position assists in monitoring, evaluating, and improving financial, inventory, and fixed-asset processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the department.
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has some discretion about walking, standing, etc.
This is a Department of Houston Public Works Emergency Management position at the Tier III Level.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a field directly related to the job.
Two years of professional experience in accounting, budget analysis, finance, public administration or a field directly related to the job are required.
Four years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement. An Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a closely related field and two years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement.
A Master’s degree in a field directly related to the job may substitute for two years of the above experience requirement.
